WOULD the NHS or elected representatives expect someone to reduce their intake of alcohol when advised to do so by an alcoholic?

Would they expect someone to stop smoking when advised to do so by a person smoking a tobacco product? Unlikely.

So, why do they expect people to start eating healthily and take more exercise, to reduce weight, when many healthcare professionals, MPs and elected councillors are evidently overweight, some to the point of obesity?

This ‘do as I say, not as I do’ attitude may, to some extent, explain why, having spent £2 million on obesity issues, the council has not seen a dramatic reduction of obesity-related problems in the district.
