I READ in the Keighley News that the Royal Mail exceeded its first class mail delivery in the Bradford area – Royal Mail hits service target (November 17).
I live in the BD20 area, Beechcliffe, and my friend lives in the BD21 area, Exley Head, both local. My friend posted me a birthday card with a second class stamp on September 26 in good time for my birthday on September 29.
I didn’t receive it until October 16 – 20 days later than posted. Must we all have to pay first class in order to receive our mail on time?
I dread to think when we will receive our Christmas cards at the busiest time of the year.
I also sent some photos to my friend in Dubai on September 6. After telling the cashier, I paid the going rate leaving them at the counter of the post office, and she hasn’t received them yet.
It looks like I’m going to have to have them developed again and send them recorded delivery, hoping then my friend will receive them after me paying out twice.
