I CONSIDER that Kersten England’s idea of community cohesion is rather narrow – Segregation claim anger (Keighley News, December 1).
Yes, we have in recent years seen an increase of interfaith events and during the Boxing Day floods people from many communities helped, irrespective of faith.
In times of adversity we all help where we can, but cohesion is rarely seen at other times.
How many of our community centres have week-in, week-out sessions which reflect the cultural diversity of Keighley?
I also consider sessions and events which are solely for Asian women divisive.
I would appreciate someone explaining to me how, other than my skin tone and the way in which I show my acceptance of God, I am different to an Asian lady.
