I THINK the move to improve road links to Lancashire – Fresh talks on motorway link (Keighley News, February 23) – would greatly improve the traffic situation in Keighley.

Another move would be to reinstate the railway link between Skipton and Colne.

The cheapest way to improve traffic flow through Keighley would be to install red light cameras at all junctions. Anyone jumping red lights or blocking yellow boxes would immediately get a fixed penalty. This would either ensure traffic can go to where it is supposed to be able to go, or would raise much-needed revenue and could eliminate the need to raise parking charges at local beauty spots.
