IN response to Councillor Adrian Naylor and council cuts – ‘Unfair’ cuts in rural areas an ‘attack on life’ (Keighley News, March 2).
I’m not shocked by the hypocrisy of Cllr Naylor’s complaints about Bradford’s budget cuts.
Let’s put the blame squarely where it belongs with Cllr Naylor’s own Party. It is the Tory Government’s massive cuts to local authority funding (especially severe in northern metropolitan authorities like Bradford) that is creating the ‘attack on life’. It has been Tory philosophy since Maggie Thatcher to eliminate public sector services, and cutting local authority budgets is achieving exactly that.
