I REFER to the article in the March 2 issue regarding council cuts – £32 million council cuts: full detail (Keighley News).
I cannot believe the cuts re toilets, community halls and visitor centres are going to happen in rural areas and nothing in Bradford itself!
I appreciate savings have to be made, so why don’t they cut the number of councillors, not just in the Bradford district but nationwide? There are far too many in my opinion, and the saving per annum would be massive and the monies could be used for things the people of this country need. It is in fact money we pay anyway in our taxes and council tax bills.
Bradford, yet again, is looking after itself, and Keighley and surrounding districts are taking the full force of the cuts. Shame on you Bradford Council.
