I AGREE with the sentiments of Ashley Forsyth regarding the use of council tax funds to demolish the old college building – ‘We should not pay’ (Keighley News, March 23).
I would also add that my biggest concern is the companies that are removing/demolishing the building are not using the valuable materials for other projects, and in the end will leave another derelict site covered by ‘temporary’ boarding, as we have all come to know and hate in East Parade.
Regarding East Parade, where did all the valuable stone get carted off to after the demolition of the mill that stood there?
