I WRITE to embarrass the trust behind the team at Holycroft Surgery in Keighley.

In the blurb about this particular practice, it states the main aim is to provide a caring and compassionate service.

Surely, in my view, this altruistic aim starts with the car parking facilities.

As a very regular user of this area and being continually frustrated by lack of parking spaces, might I suggest this piece of asphalt requires a serious upgrade.

I am sure to raise the standard to be fit for purpose would, in my opinion, be a relatively simple and inexpensive procedure.

Would it? Letter writing to the practice manager has only produced a Pontius Pilate-type response.

As I see it, if the problem of parking at this facility is not addressed sooner rather than later, chaos will ensue.

I add weight to my ventilation of this 'problem' in the fact this practice is blatantly advertising for more patients. Ludicrous!

"The building is very well used and there are hundreds of people who visit the site every day.

"Holycroft Surgery agrees with Mr Ackroyd that the provision of adequate parking is an important part of the provision of caring and compassionate care.

"We would like to add our voice to that of your readers in requesting improved parking facilities for our patients.

"Thank you to Mr Ackroyd for raising this."
