BRADFORD Council wants to close our rather nice new toilet block in Haworth Park to save a few pounds, despite the thousands of visitors we expect to come to Haworth throughout the summer – ‘Spending a penny’ could save toilets (Keighley News, June 1).
They are bound to want and need these toilets. I have to point out the rhododendron bushes in the park are severely cut back at the moment, but the expected additional organic matter to be put on them should make them grow sufficiently to substitute for the toilet block. Has the council thought about this?
