REGARDING Bradford Council plans to widen North Street – Congestion-busting proposal is slammed (Keighley News, September 7).

If, as they tell us, there is no money, then there cannot be any money for the road widening scheme. And should the scheme go ahead, it is only a matter of time before the road is choc-a-bloc with cars.

At the end of the day, the plan is a stop-gap operation – OK for now, but later on it will be back to square one with the road full of cars.

So, Bradford Council must go back to the drawing board again.
