SIR - Having recently read the appalling episodes of fly tipping in this gentleman's attempt (T&A, April 12) to create a new business, I am dismayed at the fact that these low lifes came back more than once. I'm pleased that the site's owner has information gleaned from the rubbish connected to this fly tipping occurrence, and I hope he's passed this onto the relevant departments.
Last Wednesday, I filled my car THREE TIMES with detritus from work being done on a small room in our house – it cost me only the petrol money to go to the council's rubbish site. Why do these people do this? We need more cameras near susceptible areas (Prune Park Lane being a new dumping ground). Find the lazy beggars ten times more than it would have cost to get rid of their rubbish, but I doubt this will happen due to the magistrates' handcuffs on handing down fines.
People - if you seen this happening, please discreetly take a photo of their registration plate number and hand it into the relevant department. This is going to be the only way we can see an end to this blight.
