THE decision on the future of community care services in Craven – including Castleberg Hospital – will be taken at a meeting of Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCG’s governing body held in public in Settle next month.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 8, at 1.15pm in St John’s Church and Hall, Church Street, Settle.

The governing bodies of NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, NHS Bradford City and NHS Bradford Districts CCGs will meet as a ‘committee in common’, with the Bradford City and Bradford Districts governing bodies joining the meeting later in the afternoon to discuss other items on the agenda.

The papers for the meeting will be made available at the first opportunity after the pre-election period ends (often referred to as purdah) on NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCGs’ website on Friday, May 4.

Papers for the meeting will be available at bradfordccg.moderngov.co.uk/ieListMeetings.aspx?CommitteeId=181.

Whilst the meeting is not a public meeting, members of the public are invited to submit questions in advance. The CCG is urging those wishing to ask a question to read through the meeting papers ahead of doing so, to ensure the information they would like is not already covered.

Questions can be submitted in writing by e-mail to stacey.waterworth@bradford.nhs.uk or by post to Stacey Waterworth, Governance and Corporate Manager, NHS Bradford District and Craven CCGs, Douglas Mill, Bowling Old Lane, Bradford, BD5 7JR, by 8am on Monday, May 7.

The meeting will also be filmed and a video shared on the CCGs’ website after the event.
