AN iPad is on offer for digital library customers in a bid to raise awareness of North Yorkshire’s vast e-book collection.

The county’s library service holds around 21,000 e-books, with more than 4,000 users making regular use of the collection.

During this month, all e-book borrowers will be entered into a prize draw to win an iPad – donated by the e-book supplier, BorrowBox.

The giveaway coincides with Get Online Week, which runs from Monday (October 17), and showcases the digital offer at libraries – from IT support to coding.

Many people don’t realise the huge range of digital resources that libraries have to offer. Every library member has access to thousands of e-books, digital audiobooks, e-comics and e-graphic novels for free.

We want to use this opportunity to raise awareness of our digital offer. The lucky winner will be able to use their new iPad to easily access our e-book collection.

Each e-book borrower has a maximum of five entries. For more information, visit northyorks.gov.uk/libraries-news-and-events.
