WITH reference to Castle Mill, off Fell Lane, and the paper mill next to Aldi, I would like to give some feedback.
Firstly, if these two properties were in another location, it would not require someone to highlight the significance and beauty and historical value of both, let alone using them as a free commodity – ie they're being ignored and in a state of dilapidation!
As the Channel 4 programme is titled – Location, Location, Location.
If these were in the south, where I used to live, they would be snapped up for a huge sum, then another huge sum would be spent transforming them into what's known and recognised as being 'highly desirable'.
I'm waiting for someone to discover Keighley. There's a huge number of highly desirable Victorian properties which no one recognises. I recognise them – like Dalton Mills, and so many others – however because it relates to 'Location, Location, Location' then Keighley doesn't count!
But if someone from the south reads this, then maybe gets on Google and discovers Dalton Mills, we might see a new highly desirable hotel on Dalton Lane!
Let me think, what could it be called? I'll leave that to someone else!
Roy Williams, Keighley
