Keighley band Control Is Dead will on Saturday step onto the same stage as Oasis, U2 and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

In a manner of speaking, because the three bands playing Otley in reality some of the top tribute acts in the business.

Oasish, New2 and Really Hot Chili Peppers are the headliners at the Fake Festival in a marquee at Wharfemeadows Park.

Control Is Dead, a five-piece band formed in 2009, are signed to Stormforce Records and will soon release new material.

They are made up of singer Antony Arcuri, guitarists Aaron Hetherington and Danny Longley, bassist Luke Harrison and drummer Jamie Brannan.

New2, fronted by Keighley man Frank Farkas, will perform hits like hits as New Years Day, Vertigo, With Or Without You, and Beautiful Day.

Oasish is fronted by "charismatic" frontman Paul Higginson and is said to have performed Brit pop anthems with swagger and attitude across the UK and abroad.

Really Hot Chili Peppers promise a hi-octane delivery of classics by the Los Angeles band, honed through tours of the UK, Europe and Asia.

Also providing support are electro-powered party punk band Rosie who are "more energetic than a sackful of terriers and with more hooks than a pirate convention".

Sharp Darts aim to provide a distinctive, gritty sound along with flowing melodies, Kath & The Kicks will provide a new wave raucous edge to female-fronted rock music, while Roadkill will play covers by the likes of Journey, One Direction and Bon Jovi.

The Fake Festival runs from 12.30pm until 11pm. Tickets cost £17.50 adults and £10 children, from Aire Valley Guitars in the Royal Arcade, Keighley, or fakefestivals.co.uk.
