A Keighley dog with star quality could win a leading role in a professional opera.
Producer Ellen Kent is seeking an animal to appear in La Boheme, when it is performed at St George’s Hall in Bradford on March 20.
The Chisinau National Opera and Philhar-monic Orchestra is touring the show, and needs a dog to appear as Muzetta’s pet.
Ellen said: “People say never work with children or animals, but I love to do both!
“The first time was 20 years ago, when my pet cat, Holly Go-Lightly, was in one of my productions and was an instant hit.
“Since then, we’ve had horses, goldfish and even a golden eagle, with a 6ft wingspan on stage.”
The successful dog needs to be well-behaved and small and the owner would need to be prepared to go on stage in costume to look after him or her.
Send a photograph to Sadie Williams at sadie@ellenkent.co.uk to audition your dog.
You should include your contact number and address, as well as the breed, height, weight, age and name of the dog.
