A sizzling line-up of top DJs has been announced for Silsden’s Summer Jam next August.

A dance marquee will feature house, funk, soul and northern soul music, complementing the live rock, ska, punk and folk performers.

Organiser, Andy Conway, said: “Our aim is to make sure the Summer Jam Festival has something for everyone, whatever their age or musical taste, so we are proud to be featuring some of the top DJs on the circuit.” Soul and funk favourites Longy (Dave Longy) and Derek Pearson will be kicking off the festival on Friday night.

A popular choice for the whole weekend is local hero Mick Tole, who DJs across the North, including the dance floors of Keighley, Bradford and Leeds.

Appearing on the Saturday is Rob Tissera, a club legend who founded KissDaFunk, and Marc Wilkie from Retro Heaven.

Sunday’s headliner is Danny Bond, who has played many major events, from Leeds to Ibiza. With Mick Tole he will be presenting Spank’d, which packed out Skipton’s Rood:er nightclub every month, bringing artists from across the UK.

Sunday’s line-up includes Sean Coy, the man behind Sway nightclub in Bradford, which is at the forefront of the funky bass scene.

Also appearing are Danny Pollard and Tim Charlton, who rock the dancefloors of Keighley on a weekly basis.

The festival takes place on the Riverside Fields off Keighley Road, Silsden, during the August Bank Holiday weekend, August 22 to 24.
