Two leading 60s bands will play together at the Octagon Club in Bradford Road, Sandbeds, on February 28.
The Rockin’ Berries were responsible for 16 singles, including He’s In Town and Poor Man’s Son. Their early keyboard player, Christie McVie, went on to play with Chicken Shack then found global fame with Fleetwood Mac. The Ivy League provided harmonies for Tom Jones, Sandie Shaw and The Who, as well as releasing 11 singles.
The band has links with Adam Faith and the Fortunes, spawning the bands White Planes, First Class and the Flowerpot Men. Call 01274 562252 for details.
