Mother Goose is still in need of help as she makes a return to panto land.

Bingley Amateurs are staging the traditional family show just weeks after Keighley Amateurs presented the story.

This time it’s a different script, of course, as the Bingley group presents its annual panto at the town’s Arts Centre.

The cast is led by Hannah Hall and Sophie Wilkinson as principal boy and girl, Peter and Bonnie. The cast also includes 30 children, several from the Keighley area, including Emily Brook from East Morton, who plays Gretchen.

Younger members are playing ‘Sunbeams’, dancers and chorus, with several taking roles supported by senior Society members.

Amateurs spokesman, Jennifer Wood, said: “It’s a family panto everyone will enjoy. We have a very enthusiastic cast, wonderful costumes, great comedy and well-known musical numbers.”

Mother Goose is being produced by Peter Long, with choreography by Jean Gledhill.

Bingley Amateurs will present the cowboy musical Annie Get Your Gun on November 17 to 22. The show tells the light-hearted story of sharpshooter Annie Oakley, who joins a travelling Wild West Show.

The musical includes songs such as Can’t Get A Man With A Gun, Doing What Comes Naturally, Anything You Can Do and There’s No Business Like Show Business.

Mother Goose is at Bingley Arts Centre on March 14 at 7.15pm, March 15 at 2.15pm and 7.15pm, and March 16 at 1pm and 5pm. Visit ticketsource.co.uk/bingleyartscentre or call 01274 567983, from 11am to 3.30pm on weekdays, for tickets.
