An eclectic mix of music will round off February and usher in March at Otley Courthouse.

Kris Drever and Eamonn Coyne will perform their own distinct brand of folk at the venue tonight.

The duo – whose collaborations see Drever on guitar and vocals and Coyne on banjo – released their second album, Storymap, last year to much acclaim. The BBC has described them as “two highly talented individuals, whose spirited playing is completely infectious”.

Tickets for the 8pm show cost £13 or £11 on the door.

Saturday will see a unique show of live music and light arrive at Otley in the form of Shivoham – a collaborative venture by three musicians incorporating Carnatic (South Indian) vocals, violin, bass, flute, percussion, loopers and effects.

Described as “a ceremony in contemplation”, the event is intended to take the audience on a sensory journey, inspired by the Indian god Shiva. The show will be followed by a discussion and feedback session, when audience members will be able to ask questions.

The performance begins at 7.30pm, and tickets cost £10 and £8 in advance, or £11 and £9 on the door.
