Keighley’s Indianic landed in the top quarter of bands in an online competition.

The rockers entered a global battle of the bands contest run by the Hard Rock Cafe.

Fans were last month asked to vote online so that Indianic could win a place in the live round.

Band member, Johann Shepherd, said: “We didn’t get through to the next round – we came 25th out of 100 bands in the North-West.”

Winners of the live eight at Manchester’s Hard Rock Cafe will play in front of 40,000 people in Italy this year.

Despite the disappointment, Indianic is having some global success after receiving airplay in the USA.

Following broadcasts on New York station TRS247, the band is hoping for further international airplay for its single Revolute.

Indianic can be seen at the Exchange Arts Centre in Russell Street, Keighley, on April 18, and the Cricketers Arms in Keighley on May 23.
