Monthly soul nights will in future be swapped between Keighley Civic Centre and nearby Central Hall.
David Shackleton and his fellow DJs run successful soul music events at Central Hall in Alice Street. Now they are starting Soul@The Civic, which launches on April 26 with plenty of R&B soul and Tamla Motown.
Mr Shackleton said: “From the mid-60s to the early 70s, the rhythm and blues scene in Keighley was very active. There were venues like the Golden Disc and later Keighley Variety Club on Skipton Road, with American soul artists appearing on a regular basis.”
