The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre has proved a popular draw at Keighley’s Exchange Arts Centre on more than one occasion.

The comedy group is travelling south again, for an appearance at the Square Chapel in Halifax on June 21.

The “Earth’s funniest footwear” promise an unforgettable show filled with songs, sketches, violence and, of course, socks, on topics far and wide.

Stars of stage, screen and YouTube, the sock puppet duo have been favourably compared to comedy icons Morecambe and Wise, and Abbott and Costello.

They have featured on a diverse range of TV programmes with their mix of satire, silliness and an infectious energy.

The Sock Puppets were nominees for the Best Show Award at the 2009 Leicester Comedy Festival, and have been Edinburgh Fringe sell-outs six years running.

At the Square Chapel tomorrow will be multi-instrumentalist band Fusion with a highly original style of performance.

Fusion are said to break new ground in world music by blending songs and sounds from a variety of traditions along with their own material.

The musicians play instruments ranging from jazz percussion, saxophones, flute, mandolin and violin, to keyboards, flamenco and folk guitars, darabuka, bag pipes, clarinet, Irish whistle, double bass and Arabic lute.

Expect songs and music from Morocco, India, Greece, Ireland, Egypt, Hungary, Zimbabwe, Syria and the Punjab, .
