TIM VINE is among comedians recently announced for performances at the Leeds City Varieties.

Tim, embarking on his first stand-up tour in four years, promises lots of new jokes, silly songs and twitchy dancing.

Fine, dubbed the ‘punslinger’, is known for the roles of Tim in sitcom Not Going Out and Sebastian Beach in BBC comedy Blandings.

He has made regular appearances on programmes including QI and Live at the Apollo, and was a contestant on Let's Dance for Comic Relief.

Support act during the shows, on May 20 and 21 next year, will be John Archer.

The City Varieties also hosts comedian Tony Law on November 11, following his sell-out tour and a long West End run last year.

A spokesman said: “Dive into the zone of Tone for a brand new show of life-affirming, life-changing comedy from the multi award-winning nonsense-maker."

Law is a familiar face on TV after appearing on Have I Got News for You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe.

Stephen K Amos will appear at City Varieties Music Hall on February 25 next year, fresh from sell-out tours of Australia and New Zealand.

He is described as the maestro of feelgood comedy, and has appeared at the Royal Variety Show as well as starring in BBC2 programme The Stephen K Amos Show.
