MANCHESTER-based five-piece group, The Travelling Band, will be in Leeds this October as part of their latest UK tour.

The outfit is about to release its keenly-anticipated third album, called The Big Defreeze. The band's last album, Screaming is Something, came out three years ago to and gained rave reviews from critics and fans.

The Travelling Band will perform at Brudenell Social Club, in Queen's Road, on October 3.

They comprise Jo Dudderidge, (vocals, guitars, organ, keys) Adam Gorman, (vocals, guitars, harmonica, keys) Steve Mullen, (lead guitar, vocals) Chris Spencer (bass) and Nick Vaal (drums).

Their trademark sound blurs the boundary between folk and rock, and has even previously been dubbed "Mancunian Americana".

They have impressed audiences in North America, forged a record label, and taken part in remix collaborations with mix legend and Grammy award-winner Chris Lord-Alge.

The group's new album will be released on Sideways Saloon/Republic of Music on August 25, and has been billed as being sure to attract both hardcore Travelling Band fanatics and newcomers.

The Leeds gig starts at 7.30pm and advance tickets are £8. Visit brudenellsocialclub.co.uk/whats-on for booking details.
