LIVE MUSIC nights at the Booking Club in Cross Roads are packing in the punters.
The Rhythm Junkies kicked off the monthly Friday gigs in July then last month The Cover Up raised the roof.
Organisers Les and Margaret Hutchinson are hoping for a similar response tomorrow when Kulabula play.
The Bradford-based trio perform pop, rock, funk and rock ‘n’ roll from the 1950s to the present day.
Les and Margaret, who have been club members for more than three decades, reckoned the Bocking needed to attract people in their 20s and 30s.
Les said: “We had performers on Saturday nights, but we needed to get some young blood in the club.
“You have to adapt. Most of the clubs and pubs in the country are in decline. “With the Cover Up we got all different ages coming in, and had a really good night.
“Word’s getting round on Facebook and more people are coming. Hopefully they’ll start coming in on other nights too.”
Night Patrol, a well-known covers band on the local circuit, will perform on October 31.
