A GRAND supper dance in Ilkley’s nostalgic 100-year-old Winter Garden will feature music from renowned Scarborough Spa organist Howard Beaumont.

The Friends of the Kings Hall and Winter Garden will present their Supper Dance on November 7 in the splendid setting of the newly-renovated Edwardian listed building, which this year is celebrating its centenary.

The guest will be Howard Beaumont, who has been the resident organist at Scarborough’s Spa Theatre and the famous Sun Court since 1988 – where he has a large following of regular patrons every season.

Howard has also played on luxury cruise liners between New York and the Caribbean, as well as featuring on a regular basis on the long-running BBC Radio 2 programme The Organist Entertains.

A highlight was to play the Blackpool Tower Ballroom on the 40th anniversary of the programme in 2009.

The evening in Ilkley will commence with a reception in the King’s Hall from 7pm and will be followed with a two-course supper in the Winter Garden at 7.30pm.

The Friends of the Kings Hall and Winter Garden has been established since 2000 and have been working closely with Bradford Council to refurbish the unique theatre complex.

Tickets are available from Ilkley Visitor Information Centre or by calling 01943 602319.
