THE OXNOP Singers have issued a call for new members following their successful autumn concert in the village.
The Oxenhope-based choir recently performed at the community centre with Silsden Town Band, raising £545 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The Oxnop Singers have a large following for their regular ‘Our Kind Of Music’ concerts at local venues.
David Robinson, the choir’s publicity officer, has now urged local people to join the happy band of singers, who are led by a former school music teacher.
He said: “Anyone in the area who wants to exercise their proven vocal skills, or explore for the first time the wonders of song in a supportive environment, is welcome.”
Prospective members should go along to one of the Monday rehearsals, which begin at 8pm in Oxenhope Community Centre, or alternatively call Helen on 01535 647434.
Mr Robinson added: “We will be getting ready for Christmas next, so if you’ve ever wondered how to sing Christmas carols in harmony, this is the chance to do so.”
The choir’s Christmas concert will be at Oxenhope Community Centre on December 8. Visit twitter @oxnopsingers for updates.
