FOLK luminaries Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman will perform traditional tunes and songs in Huddersfield on Saturday. (November 15)
They will present songs from their acclaimed new album in an intimate setting at the Lawrence Batley Theatre.
The “bold and superbly-crafted” Hidden People runs the gamut from Kathryn's haunting lead vocals, to rousing a cappella harmony, mellow and heart-rending piano ballads, rockabilly shuffles, nods to world music, and full-on folk rock.
Kathryn’s sublime voice and effortless delivery is said to be complemented by Sean’s masterly arrangements and production.
The duo received the prize for Best Duo at the 2013 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
