WHITE Cloth Gallery in Leeds will this winter host Behind the Curtain, an exhibition of new photography showing the hidden world behind-the-scenes at a UK opera company.
Yorkshire-based photographer Tom Arber spent a week in residence with Opera North in September 2014, as the company prepared for a new production of Verdi’s La Traviata.
Granted full backstage access, Tom’s images lovingly detail the final stage rehearsals in the run up to opening night, giving a glimpse of rarely seen moments on and off stage, in dressing rooms and backstage corridors.
Opening on November 26, Behind the Curtain is exhibited at White Cloth Gallery until February 1 2015. Call 0113 2181923 or visit info@whiteclothgallery.com for more details.
