BRINGING a successful first season of Sunday Sessions to an end at the White Lion in Kildwick will be two separate acts.

Shepherd Gigs are a married couple, one from York and one from Oklahoma, who now live in Leeds, where they have been playing pubs for the last two years.

They play rock ‘n’ roll and other music from the 1950s and 1960s, by the likes of The Beatles, Roy Orbison and the Everly Brothers.

Shepherd Gigs can be seen this Sunday (December 7) from 4pm to 7pm. Playing on December 14 at the same time will be James David Thompson.

Organiser Hollie Cooper said: "James will bring the year of great live music in a fantastic pub atmosphere to a close.

“He picks easy listening, feelgood tracks from past and present which have had the full pub singing along at the top of their voices.

“He is sometimes joined on stage by other family members complementing the family friendly atmosphere perfectly.”

The Sunday Sessions, which usually run fortnightly, offer free admission.
