A MEMBER of Airedale Writers Circle has published a paperback version of his first novel.
Kevin Wood first published Runaway’s Railway in electronic format in November last year.
The book was an action/adventure story, aimed at children aged nine to 13.
He said: “I am now publishing the novel in printed format – a ‘real’ book!”
Kevin, like several other published and prospective authors, is a member of the Keighley-based Airedale Writers Circle, which contributes a monthly column to The Ticket in the Keighley News.
Kevin, a chartered engineer, lives in Skipton with his wife Hayley – who painted the cover illustration for Runaway’s Railway -- and two children Joseph and Emily.
Runaway’s Railway tells of a boy who runs away from home and finds himself in the vast world of the Railway, where trains and passengers act like thoughts in a brain.
While being hunted by the Rail Baron’s thugs, Mark is forced into dangerous relationship with Helen, whose father was murdered by the thugs.
Runaway’s Railway is available from Amazon for £2.54 as an e-book, and £6.04 in print.
