GIVING Harrogate Studio Theatre a speakeasy vibe is the one-man one-musician performance Bane.

The show, running until Tuesday, is described as “something a little out of the ordinary” as it takes its audience deep into the seedy underbelly of an anonymous but troubled American city.

Hired hand Bruce Bane works the mean streets of pulp fiction, going about his shadowy business down back alleys and eerie sidewalks, shooting from the hip and asking questions later.

Whitebone Productions’ show – which is presented in three episodes – is inspired by hard-boiled detective stories, classic film noir and Hollywood blockbusters.

Writer and performer Joe Bone plays every character across all three episodes, which can either be seen individually as standalone plays or as a series in any order.
