WELSH rock band Funeral For A Friend will perform at Leeds University on January 20 to promote their new album.
The album Chapter And Verse will be released through through Distiller Records the previous day by the band while they are halfway through the national tour.
The first track released was You’ve Got A Bad Case Of The Religions which adopts the theme “never trust something you can’t see with your own eyes”.
Funeral For A Friend are one of the last remaining bastions of the British hardcore scene that exploded into the mainstream at the turn of the century.
The band were hailed as the saviours of rock music from a young age, and believe that now they still pack as much punch and purpose as back then.
The “vivid, aggressive and urgent” album Conduit was released last year, and seventh album Chapter And Verse is described as a natural follow-on.
The album is said to meld gruff attitude with melodic choruses, flitting frantically between relentless blast beats and heavy, discordant riffs.
