Batman3 Beyond Gotham

“HOLY mackerel Robin, we’re setting off on a third adventure in Lego land.”

The Caped Crusader hopes to build on the success of his previous two games in the world of bricks.

And on the evidence of playing the latest game on the Nintendo 3DS, I’d say it was well worth Bruce Wayne once again donning the tights and mask.

Hard-core gamers might disagree, however, for this second sequel is quite easy to complete and is really one for the kids.

As a children’s game it’s better than much of the rubbish thrown at young gamers: Batman 3 looks good, plays well and offers the occasional laugh.

Batman 3 Beyond Gotham takes Batman and a host of other DC superheroes into space to stop the evil Brainiac destroying the Earth.

The bad guy is using the Lantern Rings to shrink planets and build a collection of miniature planets from across the universe.

Enter a host of heroes like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Aquaman and the Green Lantern to take on dozens of iconic villains using gadgets, disguises and powers.

There more than 100 characters to play as, in a story spanning 45 missions and including well-known locations such as the Hall of Justice and the Batcave.
