A NIGHT Of Dirty Dancing is described as the ultimate tribute show to the iconic 1980s film.

The show features all the hits from the dance movie Dirty Dancing and, for this year’s tour, has been recast and re-scripted.

The show will be performed at the Theatre Royal, Wakefield, on March 12 at 7.30pm.

Show producer Michael Taylor said: “The celebrated film Dirty Dancing boasted the greatest movie soundtrack of all time.

“All these hits are superbly performed in this fast-moving, slickly-choreographed theatrical treat.”

Dirty Dancing’s score included songs like She’s Like the Wind, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Hey Baby, Wipeout, Do You Love Me, Be My Baby, Hungry Eyes and the Oscar-winning (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.

Fans are invited to take a trip back to the summer of ’63, to relive Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey’s sizzling performance in the ultimate coming-of-age romance.

Michael said: “It’s all down to Kellerman’s end-of-season show. Revel in the moments you loved, the memories you made and the music that’s resonated throughout the years.”

Dirty Dancing was the first movie to sell one million videos, it produced a number one single, and it achieved album sales of 42 million worldwide.

Michael added: “Our sensational production brings all the hits to life, lavishly, on stage.”

The show is not affiliated with Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story On Stage, which is also currently touring the UK.
