MARMOZETS continue their rise to fame this month with a national tour to promote their debut album.
The band came together as school kids in Bingley and won Keighley’s Battle of the Bands as teenagers in 2008.
Tipped for the top, Marmozets last year played Leeds and Reading festivals then embarked on a co-headline tour with Lonely The Brave.
The release of album The Weird And Wonderful Marmozets in September was followed by a tour supporting leading rock band Taking Back Sunday.
Now the quintet are back out as headliners, playing nine UK dates including Manchester Academy 3 on Monday (December 23) and Leeds Beckett Student Union on February 27.
The Marmozets are fronted by Becca MacIntyre with her siblings Sam and Josh on the instruments along with Bottomley brothers Jack and Will.
They are renowned for a relentless work ethic which has seen them dedicate their entire young lives to the band.
Sam said: “The only way you’re going to go up is to keep training yourselves, both individually and as a band.
“We haven’t come from out of nowhere, we’re not messing about: this is our lives.”
