FAMILIAR faces from Keighley's theatrical scene are setting sail for important roles in Ilkley Amateurs' latest production – Pirates of Penzance.

Mark Allen and David Hardman are amongst the cast of musical The Pirates Of Penzance which will be staged next month.

Mark will be the Pirate King and David, a Keighley Playhouse veteran, is the Police Sergeant.

David's first musical, outside school productions, was with Keighley Amateurs in 1968 in their production of West Side Story.

He has directed numerous plays at Keighley Playhouse since Sleuth in 2000, including The Fox on the Fairway in January of this year.

While living in Cyprus from 2002 to 2008, David continued to perform, and was chosen for various character parts with an expat theatre group in Paphos called Stage One.
