BUSES past and present will be on display during a double-header open day in Keighley this spring.

Local people will be able to visit both Keighley Bus Museum and Transdev’s Keighley bus depot on April 26.

Vintage buses driven by volunteers will transport people between the two town centre sites during the event, which runs from10.30am to 3pm.

The long-established Bus Museum, off Dalton Lane, is home to many historic buses including some bearing the liveries of old Keighley bus companies.

Transdev runs most of Keighley’s present bus services and has a maintenance depot and garage off Russell Street.

During the open day the depot will showcase historic vehicles with a Keighley link, alongside memorabilia such as photographs, advertisements, posters and old bus stops.

A highlight of the day will be a chance for visitors to sit in a bus as it goes through the depot’s giant vehicle wash.
