COMEDY returns to the Cafe Choux Choux in Keighley on March 26.

Stand-up comedy fans are invited to eat, drink and be merry at the cafe on Keighley railway station forecourt.

The performers this month will be Steve Gribben, Fern Brady, Adam Blaize and Theresa Farlow, along with resident MC Chris Brooker.

The headline act, making his Keighley debut, is no less an icon of the comedy circuit than Steve Gribben.

Chris said: “This diminutive guitar wielding satirist from Liverpool blends fantastic observations with riotously funny songs, often with references that are right up to the minute.

“Musical acts tend to go down a storm in Keighley as any fans of previous guests like Duncan Oakley, Ruth Cockburn and John Warburton will attest. Steve won't be any different.”

Support will be provided by the “acidic brilliance” of award-winning comedian and writer Fern Brady.

Chris said: “Fern has been hailed as one of the most original and exciting comics to emerge from the circuit in recent years.

“You may even recognise her distinct Scots tones from appearances on shows like 8 Out Of 10 Cats and The Alternative Comedy Experience.

“Rest assured that if you're not already a fan of Fern’s you soon will be.”

Chris said the menu of mirth for the evening would be neatly rounded out by Adam Blaize and Theresa Farlow, two acts also making their Keighley debut

Chris said his own performance would more than likely be a continuation of the deep existential crisis that started at the February.

He added: “Top comedy, fantastic real ales and amazing home cooked good make this night out at Cafe Choux Choux an essential experience.”

Tickets are available by visiting the website eventbrite.co.uk, or in person from the cafe or the Cricketers Arms on Coney Lane.
