THE South Craven-based KVU Singers will give their spring concert at Christ Church, Skipton, on March 21.

The mixed choir - which rehearses at South Craven Baptist Church in Sutton - will relive some of the highlights of 2014.

Under the baton of Frank Smith, the singers will perform Alexander L’Estrange's Song Cycle: Vive la Vélorution, which was composed for last year's Grand Départ of the Tour de France which passed through Silsden.

For the Skipton concert, it will present excerpts, accompanied by Robert Sudall and his Jazz Trio, featuring a mixture of styles from barbershop to Victorian music hall.

Also on the programme are three works from the Young Composer Competition, held in memory of Jessica Foxley, who grew up in Cowling and was killed in a car crash at the age of 21.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and entry is free with donations invited. Tickets will be available on the door or from choir members.
