BLASTS from the past on two continents can be heard at the Exchange Arts Centre tomorrow.

The Keighley venue hosts a blues and rock special featuring two popular regional solo artists and a 60s covers band.

Keighley's own Ben ‘Blue’ Waters brings his footstomping acoustic slide guitar blues to Russell Street centre.

As well as his own compositions Ben will play classic blues songs from the 1920s to the present day, including material by blues legends such as Son House, Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker.

Young Bradford blues man Sleepy Jake Segrave boasts a gravelly voice evoking the authentic feel of the country blues artists he admires.

Jake has just recorded his first album, Looking Through The Devil's Eyes.

Sixties blues and rock classics will be performed by Timewarp who are made up of four experienced musicians.

The Ilkley band promise rocking versions of songs by Elvis Presley, Robert Johnson, Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac.

Tickets cost £5 in advance from the Musicians Centre in Russell Street, or £6 on the door.
