GLUSBURN Youth Theatre has been nominated to win a £2,000 cash prize from Magnet Trade’s store in Crossflatts.
The group now needs local people to vote for it online as part of the kitchen and joinery manufacturer’s Community Champions campaign.
A total of 169 charities, each representing a Magnet Trade store, have been nominated nationwide.
A pot of £10,000 will be split regionally between the 10 most popular causes, and an additional £1,000 awarded to the public’s overall favourite.
Builder and baker Richard Burr, star of TV’ is The Great Bake Off, is the face of the campaign.
He will visit the overall winner with a special Community Champions cake!
Richard said: “I’ve been a customer at Magnet Trade for quite some time, so it’s great to be supporting this worthwhile campaign which rewards unsung community heroes.
“I urge everyone, tradesperson or not, to visit the website and cast your vote to support a community champion in your area!”
Visit magnettrade.co.uk/branch/bingley until March 31 to register your vote.
