TIGERCATS will bring their national tour to the Wharf Chambers, Leeds, on Tuesday. (April 7)
The band recently teamed up with director Thomas James to bring out the dark side of their songwriting in the video for single Sleeping In The Back Seat.
A ride in the country takes a nightmarish turn in the slickly brutal homage to 1960s British horror films, with murderous consequences.
Tigercats were known for bright and lively DIY promos for previous singles Full Moon Reggae Party and Junior Champion, but wanted a new style to highlight the more mature sound of new album Mysteries.
The album was launched in Peckham two months ago and, following a support slot with The Wave Pictures, the band hit the road last month.
A spokesman said: “Mysteries is the sound of a band of outstanding musicians fulfilling their potential and using their talents in the studio to realise their musical vision.
“They have retained their infectious hooks, their heart and their sheer danceability, coupling it with a bright new contemporary sound.
“Superbly crafted and full of personality, Tigercats’ second album suggests that they won’t remain a mystery much longer.”
