A TV COMEDIAN is returning to Keighley to help the town’s comedy club celebrate its sixth birthday.

Mick Ferry was one of the performers during the monthly club’s first year at the Cricketers Arms in Coney Lane.

The event has now moved to Cafe Choux Choux, at Keighley railway station, where Mick will perform with four other comedians on April 30.

Headliner Mick was voted the best comedian on the circuit by his peers in 2013.

Mick has a litany of TV credits to his name, most notably ‘tearing it up’ as a part of Michael McIntyre's Roadshow on BBC 1.

Promoter Chris Brooker said: “This Oldham native has a wealth of tales backed up by a lightning-fast mind and a razor-sharp wit.”

Support is provided by the “acidic brilliance” of award-winning comedian and writer Fern Brady.

Chris said: “You may even recognise her distinct Scots tones from appearances on shows like 8 Out Of 10 Cats and The Alternative Comedy Experience.”

The night will also feature performances by Jo D'Arcy and Tom King, with Chris acting as resident MC.

The comedy night will begin at 8.30pm. Tickets are available from the cafe, the Cricketers, or online via EventBrite.
