RANDOM Hand are preparing to play a last hometown gig before having a long rest.

The Keighley ska-metal-punk band will perform all the songs from their new album on August 7.

The ‘pre-hiatus’ concert will be at the Exchange Arts Centre in Russell Street.

Random Hand were formed in the mid-noughties ago when the Keighley music scene was at its strongest time of the past two decades.

The members were heavily involved in the local music scene, networking with other bands from across the UK and rapidly building a following.

The Random Hand musicians became popular on the national underground music circuit, living in their tour van – equipped with four bunk beds – while playing hundreds of gigs each year.

Random Hand played an 18-day support slot with legendary US punk band Voodoo Glow Skulls, and twice played the Leeds and Reading festivals.

Robin Leach, the Random Hand frontman, in 2013 collaborated with Counting Coins on their single Blue On Blue.

Tickets for the Keighley gig cost £6.60. Visit exchangearts.org.uk or call 01535 661591 to book tickets.
