THE YORKSHIRE Brick Show will return to the National Coal Mining Museum For England on the bank holiday weekend.

The massive exhibition of Lego models will be at the Wakefield museum from May 2 to 4.

Throughout the day visitors will be able to help Fairy Bricks build a huge Lego mosaic, or take a stroll down Brick Street Market for personalised Lego products.

They can also visit workshops with master builders ready to share a whole range of building techniques.

The museum will also be host to two world record attempts, the most Lego bricks assembled underground and the deepest depths for a Lego model to be built, in the museum’s old mine shafts.

There will be models made by enthusiasts across the world, including city layouts, trains, and Star Wars scenes.

The story of Lego will be told in the Brick Street Cinema, and adults can relax while their children play in the Brick Build Zone.

Admission to the museum is free, and there will be various Lego exhibits around the museum, but visitors will need to buy tickets to visit the main Lego exhibition.

These will not be available from the museum on the day, and must be bought beforehand by visiting yorkshirebrickshow.co.uk. They cost £6.50.

The Yorkshire Brick show is one of the largest annual displays of Lego models and creations in Yorkshire.

The museum will be open as usual over the weekend, allowing visitors to enjoy the depths of an underground miner’s tour or explore the galleries and exhibitions on the history of mining.
