DAVID Puttnam will be the star ‘guest’ at the third RATMA international film festival in Keighley. (April 25)

A specially-filmed message of support from the famed movie producer will be shown at the Picture House.

David will introduce the screening of his own movie debut, a video he filmed in the 1970s for a Paul McCartney solo single.

The screening at 7pm on Saturday will kick-off RATMA’s gala awards night at the Picture House cinema in North Street.

Winners from several categories, including science-fiction, drama and comedy, will be shown to the audience through the evening.

Members of the public can vote for their favourite film from all those shortlisted, during screenings on Saturday from 10am to 4pm at the Keighley Campus of Leeds City College, next to Keighley railway station.

RATMA, the River Aire Ten Minute Amateur international film festival, this week features more than 60 short films created by the directors around the globe.
