ALABAMA 3, who wrote the theme music for The Sopranos, are headlining the Victoria Theatre in Halifax on June 25.
The band are from Brixton in London and claim to make “sweet pretty country acid house music” all night long. a Alabama 3 are described on one hand as a pop band, on the other as a a punk rock, blues and country techno situationist crypto-Marxist-Leninist electro band.
A spokesman said: “We never went on X Factor or Pop Idol or Stooge Quest. We did it the old fashioned way.
“Back in 1996, we threw a big old party, invited all our friends and then made it up as we went along.
