THE SPIRIT of the Royal Albert Hall will come to Keighley’s Octagon on Sunday afternoon as two choirs combine.

Steeton Male Voice Choir will again perform with Bingley women’s choir Opus 44 at the club on Bradford Road at Sandbeds.

Steeton spokesman Eric Parker said fellow members made the “amazing” choice to sing as part of a massed choir of 1,500 voices at the London venue earlier this month.

He said: “They will still be on cloud nine as they arrive at the Penningtons Octagon Live on Sunday.

“Two local choirs with around 90 voices and full of enthusiasm for singing will bring that same sense of occasion to Sandbeds.

“This is the second consecutive year that the two choirs have come together at the Octagon. We are expecting a full house on Sunday.”

The concert begins at 2.30pm, and there will be festive food and drink at the interval. Tickets cost £8 for adults and £4 for children.

Steeton male Voice choir will perform at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Skipton, on December 12 at 7.30pm.
